Learn MoreI’m Jonathan, a certified holistic therapist with a passion for helping you find genuine peace and balance. I founded Listening Fields Holistic Massage to create a sanctuary where deep listening meets hands on healing. By tuning into your body’s energy and nervous system, I tailor each session to your unique needs so you can release tension, restore harmony, and leave feeling truly renewed.
My approach blends time honoured techniques with modern insights. Whether you’re seeking gentle relaxation or targeted relief, I draw on my training in complementary modalities to guide you toward lasting wellbeing. A holistic massage with me isn’t just about easing muscle tightness, it’s an invitation to reconnect with your own calm.
I practice at two welcoming Dublin locations and offer mobile treatments across Dublin.
If you’d prefer the convenience of home, office or event visits, I’m happy to bring the same nurturing environment to you. Let’s find the best way to support your journey to relaxation and resilience.
A holistic massage treats you as a whole person: body, mind and spirit. We begin with a short conversation about any aches, areas of tension, posture, sleep concerns and what you would most like to get from your session. From there, I blend long, flowing strokes, kneading and targeted pressure to ease stubborn tension, gentle stretches to mobilize stiff joints, and light energy based holds to encourage your body’s natural balance. You remain fully draped except for the area being worked, and I use warmed, natural oils so every movement feels smooth and grounding.
When deeper work is needed, I’ll incorporate focused deep tissue techniques, using firmer, sustained pressure to work into tight bands of muscle and fascia, helping to break up adhesions and improve your range of motion.
Sessions come in two lengths. A 60 minute massage lets me focus on your key trouble spots while still including a full body check in. A 90 minute session gives enough time for a full head to toe experience. You can also add simple extras like aromatherapy or guided breathwork to deepen relaxation or address specific needs.
Beyond the hands on techniques, one of the most powerful effects of holistic massage is how it shifts your nervous system out of fight or flight (sympathetic) mode and into rest and digest (parasympathetic) mode. That switch helps your body settle more fully, lowers stress hormones and supports recovery at a deeper level.
Most clients notice muscles in the back, shoulders, neck and legs feeling more relaxed, circulation improving and posture becoming more natural. Many report sleeping more soundly, thinking more clearly and simply feeling more balanced. By calming the mind, relieving physical tension and supporting your body’s own healing, holistic massage can be a key step toward lasting wellbeing.
A lymphatic drainage massage uses very light, rhythmic strokes to encourage your body’s own waste clearing network. About 70% of lymphatic fluid travels through the superficial system, a web of capillaries just under the skin, while the remaining 30% moves through deep vessels alongside arteries and veins to drain muscles, joints and organs. While the deeper lymph is moved by exercise, the superficial system benefits greatly from this treatment.
Interestingly, your brain has its own counterpart: the glymphatic system, a series of perivascular channels that recent imaging work in humans shows become almost fully active only during sleep, boosting waste clearance by up to twice the rate seen when you’re awake.
By gently “sweeping” the superficial lymphatics toward the nearest nodes, this massage helps:
Unlike Holistic Massage, preparation of the main lymphatic drains and the order of treatment sites is essential. While head and arms can be drained in a shorter session, a full body treatment which includes the legs will require a 90 minute session.
You’ll leave feeling lighter, less puffy and surprisingly energized. This benefits both the high volume superficial drains and the deep pathways, plus the nightly “brain rinse” your glymphatic system provides during sleep.
A chair massage is a simple, no fuss session you stay fully clothed for. In 30 to 45 minutes I focus on your neck, shoulders and back, the areas that get tight from working at a computer all day, and have you leave feeling looser and more comfortable.
Enhance your massage with simple extras that support relaxation and balance. These are offered as a low cost addition to any massage. Feel free to purchase one as an extra or include it in your session time free of charge.
